Pulaski Council looking for appointee
PULASKI - Members of Pulaski Town Council will meet at 7 a.m. March 8 to consider whom to appoint to complete the remaining two years on the unexpired term of John Stone.
Stone, elected in 1992, announced that he will have to step down from council because of increasing work commitments. He is managing nine motels over several states.
Council met in closed session Wednesday morning for nearly 40 minutes to discuss potential appointees, but did not name anyone.
Mayor Andy Graham asked Town Attorney Frank Terwilliger to look into any legal problems that might arise from a town employee serving on council.
Graham said council would vote on Stone's successor at a later council meeting.
