TRANSPORTATION PROJECTS OPEN FOR COMMENTS

Roanoke Valley residents curious about highway and transportation projects planned for 1997-99 can get more information and make comments at a public meeting from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Huff Lane MicroVillage Magnet School, 4412 Huff Lane N.W.

Proposed projects to be discussed include street and highway construction in the vicinity of the Roanoke Valley, airport improvements, Valley Metro bus service and government-funded vans for the elderly and other residents.

Officials from the Fifth Planning District Commission and Virginia Department of Transportation will lead the meeting. For more information, call 343-4417.
