GET YOUR FREE MULCH SATURDAY

Roanoke and Roanoke County will give away leaf mulch Saturday.

City and county residents may pick up the free mulch at the Public Works Service Center at 1802 Courtland Road N.E. between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The mulch will be loaded by city employees into pickup trucks only. No dump trucks are allowed, said Anne Marie Green, Roanoke County's Director of Community Relations.

All loads must be covered before the vehicles will be allowed to leave the public works lot, Green said.
