VOTER REGISTRATION

The deadline for Roanoke Valley residents to register to vote in spring elections is April 8. According to the National Voter registration Act, which became effective March 6, Virginia residents may register by mail. The registration forms are available at Department of Motor Vehicles offices, area post offices, libraries and other state agency offices. The forms also may be completed at the Roanoke, Salem, Roanoke County and Botetourt County registrars' offices or at the following special registration sites.
