BLACKSBURG - The Virginia Tech Music Department presents Keith Jackson in a guest artist recital Wednesday, April 3, at 8 p.m. in the Recital Salon at Squires Student Center.
Jackson will play the trombone and perform five 20th-century works for trombone and piano. Lisa Blackledge will accompany him. Some of the pieces to be performed are "Aria et Polonaise," "Romance," and "Sonata."
Admission is $3 and tickets will be sold at the door.

Band performance
BLACKSBURG - The Virginia Tech University Symphony Band will present "Heritage of the Band," conducted by David McKee, Thursday, April 4, at 8 p.m. in the Commonwealth Ballroom of Squires Student Center.
The Sousa-style concert will feature a variety of selections and styles. Sousa marches and familiar themes such as "Die Fledermaus" will be performed, as well as solo performances.
