Club holds youth soccer sessions The Roanoke Valley Youth Soccer Club will hold programs for 7 to 9 year olds Saturdays beginning April 13 at the Roanoke City Parks and Recreation field on Reserve Avenue. Four sessions for different age and skill levels will be held at each event. The first session begins at 8:30 a.m., the last at 12:30 p.m.

Walk to fight Multiple Sclerosis Saturday

The 1996 MS Walk on will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Patrick Henry High School. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m.

Participants are asked to get pledges based on the distance they complete. The walk is five to 10 miles with a one- to two-mile family walk available for seniors, parents with baby strollers, the disabled and others who prefer a less strenuous walk.

The event raises money to provide support services to the more than 1,500 people with MS and their families in the Blue Ridge Chapter area. For more information, call Brenda Burks at 890-1469.
