CHRISTIANSBURG - The Radford University Business Assistance Center is sponsoring "How to Guarantee Your Success In Starting and Growing a Small Business," on May 2, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Headquarters Library, 125 Sheltman St., in Christiansburg.
Finding accurate and helpful information is essential to succeeding in a new business. Entrepreneurs often don't know where to find information that will lead to success. The program will discuss free information and resources that are available locally.
The seminar will focus on writing a successful business plan, finding financing, marketing your business and developing an Internet home page.
The Upstart Small Business Library, a collection of resources donated by the New River Small Business Development Center to libraries in Christiansburg, Blacksburg and Pulaski, will be displayed at the seminar.

Nurses aide class
DUBLIN - A class which prepares students to qualify as geriatric nursing aides will be offered by New River Community College beginning May 20.
Students will receive four credits for the class and will be eligible to take the state exam for certification as a geriatric nursing aide.
The instructor is Mary Jill Fern and the class will be limited to 10 students.
