A Rocky Mount man died Monday in a single-car accident in Franklin County.
Clyde Irvin Turner, 44, was driving on Virginia 713 three-tenths of a mile east of the U.S. 220 bypass about 5:15 p.m. when the accident occurred, Trooper D.W. Stone said.
"He was traveling on 713 when he rounded a curve and ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned," Stone said.
Turner apparently was not speeding or wearing a seat belt and died at the scene, state police said.
