College seeks art for juried exhibition

Roanoke College's Olin Gallery's Fourth Biennial Juried Exhibition will accept works for judging Aug. 16 from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and Aug. 17 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in the gallery.

Painting, sculpture, drawing, mixed media, ceramics, fiber and metal will be accepted. An amateur category has been added this year.

Prize money of $1,000 will be awarded and there will be no commission for works sold.

The works will be juried by Nicholas Bragg, executive director, Reynolda House Museum of American Art, Winston-Salem, N.C.

The exhibit opens with a reception from 1-3 p.m. Aug. 25 and runs through Oct. 10.
