Twenty-five Pulaski firefighters worked for more than 3 1/2 hours Thursday morning putting out a dustbin fire in the Pulaski Furniture Co. complex.
A guard at the plant called in the fire about 5:45 a.m., a spokesman at the Fire Department said. Five pieces of equipment were used in bringing it under control.
Normal operations continued at the plant Thursday. The cause of the fire was not immediately known, but the fine dust generated at the plant is highly flammable material. The damage was estimated at $20,000, according to a Fire Department report.
