ABSHER, Snora Susan, 80, of ""Burk Mtn."", North Fork, West Virginia died Monday May 27, 1996 in Princeton Hospital. Born May 30, 1915 in Patrick County Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Charles Elam and Melissa Boyd Vaughn. She was a member of the Eckman Church of God and was a homemaker, a maker and lover of quilts and a resident of Burk Mountain for the past 41 years. She is preceded in death by, other than her parents, her husband, A. B. Absher; one grandson, Donnie Sizemore; four brothers; one sister. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Ruth) Spinella, Va. Beach, Va., Mrs. Donald (Susie) Sizemore, of the home; two sons, John L. Absher, Hampton, Va. and Albert Absher Jr., Bedford, Va.; two sisters, Bertha Jones, Eckman, W. Va., Mae Trent, McDowell, W.Va.; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Bennett-Widner Funeral Home Chapel, North Fork, W.Va. with the Rev. Patrick Browning officiating. Burial will follow in the Boyd Cemetery at Meadows of Dan, Va. with the committal services at 3 p.m. Paulbearers will consist of grandsons. Friends may call Wednesday night from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Bennett-Widner Funeral Home, North Fork. CADD, VIRGIE P., 84, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 27, 1996. She was the daughter of James A. and Carnie M. Price. She was the wido w of James T. Cadd. She was also a member of Emmanuel Wesleyan Church. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Price; a sister, Caroline Rutledge. She is survived by a sister, Martha P. Terrill, Charlottesville; nieces, Anna R. Judd, Waynesboro, Myrtle R. Amos, Roanoke, Shelby T. Clements, Charlottesville; nephews, George W. Rutledge, Roanoke, Edward B. Rutledge, Fisherville; several great-nieces and great-nephews, including Richard B. Amos, Roanoke. CLINGENPEEL, William Watts, 90, of 501 V.E.S. Road, Westminster Canterbury, died Tuesday, May 28, 1996. Born in Graysville, Va., he was the son of the late Irving Montgomery and Lura Tice Clingenpeel. He was the husband of the late margaret Hoskins Clingenpeel. After graduating from Randolph-Macon College in 1928, Mr. Clingenpeel was employed as a surveyor for A.T.& T., walking cross country cable routes in Pennsylvania and from New Jersey to North Carolina. He later served as a teacher and coach at Axton High School and as a principal in the King and Queen County and the Alleghany County School Systems. In 1941, when DuPont opened in Martinsville, Va., Mr. Clingenpeel returned to that area and was employed by DuPont until his retirement in 1971 as a Senior Cost Analyst. He was a member of Rivermont Presbyterian Church, Piedmont Masonic Lodge #152, AF & AM in Martinsville, the Huguenot Society and the Sons of the American Revolution. He is survived by his son, William H. Clingenpeel and his wife, Julia of Lynchburg; two grandchildren, Susan C. Hargis and her husband, Shawn of Goode and William H. Clingenpeel, Jr. and his wife, Samantha of Bedford; one great-grandson, William Jordan Clingenpeel and one great-granddaughter, Emily Ann Hargis. A graveside service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 30, 1996 at Oakwood Cemetery in Martinsville, by Dr. L. Wayne Meredith. A memorial service will be conducted at Rivermont Presbyterian Church at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 1996 by Dr. Lowell B. Sykes. COLLINS, Marion Myers, (``Micky''), 65, of Eagle Rock, died in the Low Moor Hospital Tuesday, May 28, 1996. She was an active member of the Eagle Rock Garden Club. She is survived by a daughter, Brenda Dare Collins; and two brothers, Frank Myers Jr. and Thomas Myers, all of Eagle Rock. CULLIFER, Willis Neal, Jr., 71, of Virginia Beach, died in a nursing home after a long illness on Monday, May 27, 1996. R. Cullifer was born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, the son of Willis Neal Cullifer, Sr. of Rocky Mount and Bessie Bragg Cullifer of Ocracoke, North Carolina, who both preceded him in death. He served in the U. S. Navy from 1943 through 1945, after which he attended and graduated from the College of William and Mary. He was retired from Crockin-Levy Furniture Company after a 29 year tenure. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Peggy Wilcox Cullifer of Virginia Beach; a daughter, Deborah Cullifer Garcia of Merritt Island, Florida; two sons and daughters-in-law, William Neal Cullifer and his wife, Janet Goodrich Cullifer and Eric Gregory Cullifer and his wife, Georgia Mildenberg Cullifer, all of Virginia Beach; plus four grandchildren, Brandon Garcia, Chris Cullifer, Michael Cullifer and Shannon Marie Cullifer. Additionally, he is survived by three sisters and brothers-in-law, Laura and Thomas J. East, Diane and Bill Kemp and Dolores and Thomas Snead, all of Virginia Beach. He also had four sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, Nellie Wilcox Sprouse, Mary Wilcox Yates, Margaret Wilcox Yates, Herbert and Mary Ann Wilcox, all of Roanoke and Rocky Mount, Virginia; plus many nieces and nephews. ELLIOTT, Robert Myles, (``Smiley""), 52, of Blacksburg, and Bonita Springs, Fla., died Saturday, May 25, 1996, at Lee Memorial Hospital, Fort Myers, Fla. Smiley as he was affectionately called was the son of the late Hubert U. and Mattie C. Elliott. Smiley was loved and will be deeply missed by his wife, Clara Anne Graham-Elliott of Bonita Springs, Fla., formerly of Blacksburg; stepchildren, Jocy Graham, Blacksburg, Rick and Jodi Graham, Dublin, Ohio; mother-in-law, Anne Jones, Bonita Springs, Fla.; brother, Wayne Elliott and his family; sister, Linda Akers and her family, all of Christiansburg; uncle, Marshall Smith, Blacksburg; and by his extended family members and friends in Florida and Virginia. HUNTER, G. David, 62, of Nashville, Tenn., formerly of Roanoke, passed away at his home on Friday, May 17, 1996. He was a graduate of Jefferson High School and Richmond Professional Institute of the College of William and Mary. For the past thirty years, he has been an interior designer in Nashville. MOORE, Robert Wayne Sr., 52, of Greenbelt, Maryland, formerly of Roanoke, died Sunday, May 26, 1996 from Cancer in Washington D.C. After serving in the Navy, he returned to Roan oke where he worked as an electrician with Norfolk and Western. Prior to establishing his own business, he relocated to the Washington Area in 1982 where he worked as a master electrician and chief maintenance supervisor for Hoffman Corporation until the on-set of his illness in 1994. He is survived by his parents, Ralph Moore of Roanoke and Dorothy Grasso of Washington D.C.; sons, Robert Moore Jr and Michael Moore of Florida; sisters, Barbara Rubin of Washington D.C., Gloria Harrison of Raleigh, N.C., Donna McDonald and Joyce Cusick both of California; brother Rusty Baker of Washington D.C.. She was born in Carroll County on October 3, 1902, and was the daughter of the late Sarah and James Williams. She was a member of Valley Harvest Ministries in Dublin. She was preceded in death by her husband, W. C. Webb. WEBB, Walter Scott, (``Scotty''), 37, of Max Meadows, and formerly of Pulaski, died Monday morning May 27, 1996, at his home. He was born May 2, 1959 in Radford, the son of the late John Walter and Juanita Doss Webb. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Sparrell ``Robin'' Webb of Pulaski; his maternal grandparents, Frankie Earl Doss and Zettia L. Doss of Belspring; and his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Larson (Virginia Guynn) Webb of Pulaski. He was employed by Hercules/Alliant Tech for the past 15 years, and was a member of Thornspring United Methodist Church, Pulaski County. He is survived by his paternal grandfather, Larson Sparrell Webb of Pulaski; several aunts, uncles and cousins; special friends, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Martin of Max Meadows. He was the godfather of their children, Leila, Kelly and Micah. Funeral service will be held Thursday, May 30, 1996, at 11 a.m. at the Reese Funeral Chapel in Austinville, with the Rev.
