Eleven undeveloped alley right of ways will be considered for closing today by the Pulaski Town Council.
In other business at its 4 p.m. meeting, the council is expected to adopt its 1996-97 budget to include the addition of a specialist for its department of economic development. The specialist will assist Economic Development Director Barry Matherly in marketing the town, administering an enterprise zone, and handling other administrative duties.
The alley closings include:
Cedar Street, in the southeast section of Pulaski, from Dora Highway to Jackson Avenue between Birch and Elm streets;
Bayhurst Street, in northeast Pulaski, from Greenbriar Avenue west to the end of the street;
Miller Street from Fourth Street Southeast to Fifth Street Southeast;
Sixth Street Southeast from Baskerville Street to Miller Street;
An alley between Fifth Street Southeast to Sixth Street Southeast;
An unnamed alley from First Street Southwest to Second Street Southwest between Valley Road and Maple Street;
An unnamed alley running east to west parallel to Crescent Street in southwest Pulaski;
Oak Alley from Maple Street South to its end in the southeast section of Pulaski;
An unnamed alley running east to west from Valley Street to Maple Street;
Ash Alley, running north to south from Prospect Street to another unnamed alley;
An undeveloped section of Prospect Street from Lot 9B west to Valley Street.
