Framatome Technologies has promoted MICHAEL DUNEVANT to controller. He has been in the finance and treasury function of the company for 17 years, as controller in the Integrated Nuclear Services division, and later for Framatome Cogema Fuels, formerly B&W Fuel Co.
JEAN CLAUDE HUNEL has been appointed treasurer of the company. He joined Framatome in 1988, and was appointed treasurer of the B&W Nuclear Service Co., a predecessor of Framatome Technologies in Lynchburg in 1989. He was vice president of finance for Framatome USA, based in Rosslyn, from 1992 to 1996.
CHRISTIAN BUCHALET has joined the staff as senior vice president of Framatome's international business and technology development. He joined the company in Paris in 1975. In 1985, he came to the United States as Framatome's representative in Washington, D.C.; as president of Framatome's U.S. operations; and as vice president of business development of Framatome USA.
Framatome Technologies, based in Lynchburg, has an office in Roanoke.
CONTRACTORS
MARTIN S. PRUITT has formed Cornerstone Builders Inc., a general contractor specializing in commercial and residential additions and renovations. Pruitt, who has more than 10 years of remodeling experience, previously was vice president of Building Specialists Inc.

HEALTH CARE
MARK PETERSON has been promoted to operations manager at Therapeutic Innovations Inc., a Roanoke medical sales firm. Peterson, who has been with the firm since 1995, will oversee all management information systems operations.
INDUSTRIAL DISTRIBUTION
ROBERT W. STEVENSON has been promoted to vice president of Dominion Air & Machinery Co., a Roanoke-based distributor of air compressors and machine tools. Stevenson, who is a certified public accountant, will continue as controller of the company.
LAW
WILLIAM B. POFF of Woods, Rogers & Hazlegrove and WILLIAM R. RAKES of Gentry, Locke, Rakes & Moore, both Roanoke law firms, have been named to the Virginia Mediation Panel of the American Arbitration Association, a public service organization that resolves disputes through arbitration, mediation, negotiation, elections and other procedures.
MANUFACTURING
Synchrony Industrial Controls Inc.in Roanoke has added three engineers to its technical and marketing staff. They are JETT FIELD, who primarily will work in Synchrony's technology group; and JAY FOSTER and MIKE CLARY, who have joined the company's industrial controls group. Synchrony provides fully-integrated solutions related to information technology, controls and automated systems for industrial clients.
GEORGE WAYNE SCOTT has joined Rocky Mount-based Mod-U-Kraf Homes' engineering department as production coordinator. He has 23 years of experience in the sectional housing industry, most recently as assistant manager of engineering at Nationwide Homes in Martinsville. Also at Mod-U-Kraf, CHARLES STILES has been promoted to maintenace supervisor. Stiles, who has more than 24 years of maintenance and supervisory experience, has been with the company for one year.
MORTGAGE BANKING
DENNIS W. YOUNG has been hired as an account executive at the Roanoke office of The Mortgage Company of Virginia. Young has more than 18 years of mortgage banking experience, most recently at First Union National Bank of Virginia in Roanoke.

GORDON A. EWALD of Ewald-Clark Inc. in Roanoke has been elected president of Photo Marketing Association, International-Dixie Division, which comprises nine Southeastern states.
