Jeff Agnew will be seeking his sixth Late Model Stock victory of the season at New River Valley Speedway tonight in the Dick Price/Skyline Ford 200.
Agnew found himself back in Victory Lane on June 15 after a four-week drought. Agnew's main rivals tonight in the double-points race will be two-time Late Model winners Tony McGuire and Rodney Cundiff.
``It feels good to get back here,'' Agnew said after his most recent victory. ``The car is still not where I want it to be, but we will go to work and hope to be here again.''
Cundiff enjoys racing Agnew week in and week out. ``I call him `Super Jeff,''' Cundiff said. ``He'll outdrive you on the top and he'll beat to on the low side of the track. He's just a good racer.''
There will be a special 25-lap Legends race tonight on a card that also features 35-lap Limited, 25-lap Pure Stock and 25-lap Mini Stock races.
It will be DARE night at the track, with any youngster holding a current DARE certificate or current DARE T-shirt admitted free. Gates open at 1:30 p.m., practice is at 3:30 and the green flag drops at 8 p.m.
