Cynthia Dawn Cook and Gregory Holmes Hendel are engaged and planning to be married on October 5, 1996 in Milledgeville, Georgia. Ms. Cook is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Glen Cook of Milledgeville, Georgia. She is a graduate of Baldwin High School and the University of Georgia, and is employed as a Photographer Liaison for Super Stock, Inc. Mr. Hendel is the son of Mrs. Linda H. Burch of Roanoke, Virginia and Mr. Peter B. Hendel of Roswell, Georgia. He is a graduate of William Byrd High School and the University of Georgia, and is employed as Assistant Underwriting Manager for Fortune Insurance in Jacksonville, Florida.
Hervis-Hirshorn
Elizabeth Hervis and Marc Hirshorn are engaged and plan to be married October 20, 1996, in Roan oke. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam L. Hardy, Jr., Roanoke. She graduated from Cave Spring High School and from Radford University. He is the son of Mr. Ray Hirshorn and Ms. Dianna Hirshorn, Miami, Fla. He graduated from the University of Miami and Florida International University. The couple recently celebrated their engagement in Miami at parties hosted by the groom's parents.

Christy Lyn Kagey and Todd McMahon Forest are engaged and planning to be married on June 21, 1997 in Charlottesville. She is a daughter of Dr. Deedie D. Kagey of Roanoke, Dr. A.W. Kagey of Fincastle, and Mr. Thomas E. Lockhart of Key West, Fla. She is a graduate of the University of Florida, and the Kellogg Graduate School of Business at Northwestern University. She is employed by the Advisory Board Company as Associate Director. He is a son of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Forest of Castleton, Vermont. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College and the Kellogg Graduate School of Business at Northwestern University. He is employed by Nike as Marketing Manager.
Scott-Pennington
Kimberly Anne Scott and Ryan Allen Pennington are engaged and planning to be married July 17, 1996 in Negril, Jamaica. She is a daughter of Mr. William W. Scott Jr. and Mrs. Rebecca K. Horsley. She was graduated from Monacan High School in Richmond and Longwood College, Farmville. She is employed by Roanoke City Schools. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Staley Pennington of Vinton. He was graduated from William Byrd High School and studied Dental Technology in Richmond, Va. He is employed by Pennington Crown and Bridge Laboratory.
Thomas-Gereaux
Mr. and Mrs. Scottie Thomas of Bristol, Virginia, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Teresa Dawn, to Gregory John Gereaux of Catawba. He is the son of Mrs. Patricia Gereaux of St. Louis, Missouri, and the late John D. Gereaux.
She is employed by Roanoke College and he is employed by Roanoke County Schools. A July wedding is planned.
