The Republican and Democratic candidates for this fall's U.S. Senate election in Virginia will address those who attend the state American Legion Convention, being held at the Roanoke Airport Marriott today through Sunday.
Incumbent U.S. Sen. John Warner, a Republican, will speak to the convention audience Saturday at 11 a.m. Mark Warner, a Northern Virginia businessman and the Democratic candidate, will speak Saturday at 2 p.m.
Other convention speakers include Roanoke Mayor David Bowers; Robert W. Spanogle, national adjutant of the American Legion; and Philip B. Onderdonk Jr., national judge advocate of the American Legion.
