KISS IN CONCERT

KISS IN CONCERT: Rumors have been flying for months, but now it's official.

Kiss - the original Kiss lineup, in full makeup and with all the pyrotechnics of the rock group's 1970s heyday - is coming to the Roanoke Civic Center coliseum on Oct. 3 at 7:30 p.m. This will mark the first time the original Kiss act featuring Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Ace Frehley and Peter Criss has appeared in Roanoke since 1979.

Reserved seat tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. Cost will be $27.50 and $37.50.

A lottery system will be used for ticket sales at the civic center. Doors will open at 7:30 a.m. Friday when ticket buyers can pick up a numbered wristband. The number drawn will show their place in line. The box office will accept cash only.

Tickets also will be available through regular Ticketmaster outlets.
