Three people were killed in a weekend crash in Halifax County, state police said.
At 11:35 p.m. Saturday, their car was broadsided by another car as it entered U.S. 58 from Virginia 929, police said.
State police identified the dead as 16-year-old Robert Earl Crowe of Halifax, the driver of the car. Also killed were two passengers: Julia Osteen Jones, 23, of South Boston and 1-year-old Miranda Blair Jones. Police did not know the relationship between the two Joneses.
All three were pronounced dead at the scene. There was no information on injuries in the other car.
Police would not say if any charges would be filed in the accident.
