BRYANT, Deborah Holdren, 39, of Catawba, passed away Friday, September 13, 1996 at her home. Surviving are two sons, Jason Bryant and Joseph Bryant of the home; father, Richard D. Holdren of Elliston; mother and stepfather, Rosemary H. and Butch Overstreet of Roanoke; sister and brother-in-law, Connie H. and Marcus Thompson; nephew and niece, Cory and Carly Thompson all of Christiansburg; grandmother, Mrs. Willie Holdren of Vinton. CAMPER, Sylba Grim, 73, of Roanoke, died Saturday, September 14, 1996. She was an active member of the VFW, having served at the VA Hospital for many years. Sylba was the widow of G. E. T. (``Ed"") Camper, and is now survived by sons and daughters-in-law, George and Carolyn Goodykoontz of Roanoke, and Bob and Debbie Goodykoontz of Raleigh, N.C.; grandchildren, Cezanne Ratliff of Ashburn, Jason Goodykoontz of Charlotte, N.C., Todd Goodykoontz of Radford and Aaron Goodykoontz of Raleigh, N.C., and great-grandchildren, Laura, Paul and Caroline Ratliff. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 17, 1996, with the Rev. Dr. George K. Bowers officiating, in Trinity Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, September 16, 1996, at the Rader Funeral Home in Daleville. CARTER, Flossie Pearl, 82, of Roanoke, died Sunday, September 15, 1996. Mrs. Carter, a loving mother and devoted wife, was preceded in death by one grandson, Teague Edward Allen and also two sisters and three brothers. She is survived by her husband, Roscoe P. Carter Sr.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Nellie Ruth and Bill Simmerman of Salem and Linda C. Allen of Roanoke; three sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis H. and Dorothy Carter of Roanoke, R. Powell Jr. and Cookie Carter of Hampton, Gary E. and Phyllis Carter of Matthews, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; one sister, Ora Matney of Alderson, W. CLARK, Evelyn Hammond, 85, of Radford, died Sunday, September 15, 1996, in a Wytheville nursing home. She was a retired nursing assistant. Surviving are her husband, Paul Clark; three daughters and sons-in-law, Jean and Ronald VanDyke of Christiansburg, Carol and James Sheeler of Burkeville and Ann Hammond Clark of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Grove United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Clarence Dishman officiating. Entombment w ill follow in Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum. CONNER, Edna Belcher, 83, of Meadows of Dan, passed away at her home on Saturday, September 14, 1996. She was preceded in death by her husband, I. Wyatt Conner. She is survived by a daughter, Arna L. Conner of Meadows of Dan; a son, J. B. Belcher of Meadows of Dan; four grandchildren, Mrs. Joyce Hawks of Mount Airy, N.C., Mrs. Judy Haden of Woolwine, and Kenny Mol es and Vicky Belcher of Meadows of Dan; six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. CRAIG, Edward Jackson, (``Jack""), 74, of Montvale, died unexpectedly Saturday, September 14, 1996 at his residence. He was born in Bedford County on September 21, 1921 a son of the late Alvin James Craig and Martha Price Cofer Craig. He was a retired Supervisor with Contracting Enterprises Inc., a member of Walnut Grove United Methodist Church and an Army Veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Homer Craig and Garland Craig; two sisters, Randolph Craig and Virginia Craig Dawson. He is survived by his wife, Juanita Hawkins Craig; two sons, Edward L. D. Craig and his wife, Evelyn Williamson Craig of Roanoke, Randy J. Craig and his wife, Angela Giles Craig of Montvale; three daughters, Kitty Craig Parker and her husband, Kevin Parker, Kim Craig Aliff and her husband, Timmy Aliff all of Montvale, Phyllis J. Truxell of Buchanan; seven grandchildren, Chad Parker and his fiancee, Kim Minton, Nikki King and her husband, Kevin, Amy Rogers and her husband, Jackie, Melody Dooley and her husband, John, Jake Aliff, Blake Craig and Amanda Craig; four great-grandchildren, Jesse and Jamie Rogers, Zana and Jordon Dooley. GRAVES, Norine Hunt, 91, of Roanoke, formerly of Sandy Level, died Sunday morning, September 15, 1996, in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born on July 15, 1905, in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of John David Hunt II and Mary Barbour Hunt. She was married to Walter Berkley Graves, who predeceased her. Mrs. Graves was a member of Round Pond Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons, David Payton Graves of Roswell, Ga., Wilburn Berkley Graves of Mechanicsville and Donald Edward Graves of Cumberland, Md.; one daughter, Naomi Holt of Roanoke; one brother, Orie S. Hunt of Radford; two sisters, Flora Edwards and Iva Fisher of Roanoke; nine grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Round Pond Baptist Church by the Revs. John Belderes, J. D. Hunt III and Neville Shelton. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. KIRBY, Philip, 81, of Roanoke, passed away Friday, September 13, 1996. His parents were the late Charles and Anna Walker Kirby. Philip married Louise Taylor in 1962, and they lived in Newark, N.J., until 1981, when they moved to Roa noke and joined St. Gerard's Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Louise Kirby; a stepson, Eric (Merita) Parham; daughters, Victoria and Adrienne of Rosell, N.J., Erica Parham (Christopher) Harris of Newark, N.J. and Sonja Kirby (Antonio) Jones and children, Arnesia and Chelaie, all of Roanoke; a son, Bryon (Valerie) Taylor and children of Norfolk; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Walker (Thomas) Sharpe of Port Saint Lucie, Fla.; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. LONG, Dollie Webb, 74, of Portsmouth, died Sunday, September 15, 1996. She was born in New Castle, Va. and was a member of Temple Baptist Church, Victory Chapter #16, Order of the Eastern Star, Portsmouth Moose Lodge #898, and Ladies of the Moose. Survivors include her husband, Albert R. Long, Portsmouth; daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne and Paul Thacker, Chesapeake; son and daughter-in-law, Michael R. and Kelley Long, Chesapeake; sisters, Vivian Boone, Roanoke, Beatrice Custer, Chesapeake, and Rissie Pickett, Vandalia, Ohio; brothers, Claude S. PAGE, James Wilton Sr., 75, of Christiansburg, died Sunday morning, September 15, 1996 at Montgomery Regional Hospital. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, a veteran of World War II and for over 50 years was a partner in Angles Grocery in Christiansburg. Surviving are one son, James Wilton Page Jr., Christiansburg; a grandson and his wife, James Derek and Jamie Murphy Page; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles Wilbert and Merlene Page, Charles Frank Jr. and Betty Page all of Christiansburg; a sister, Leora Bowman, Hickory, N.C. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday from St. Paul United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Doug Kanney with interment in Sunset Cemetery. RINER, Virginia Hinchman, of Roanoke, passed away Saturday, September 14, 1996 at her home. She was preceded in death by he r husband, Richard H. Riner, President and Owner of Riner Realty. She was born in Alderson, West Virginia, but has been a resident of Baltimore, Md. and Roanoke, Va. for many years. She was a graduate of Marshall University, Huntington, West Virginia and was a member of the Kappa Tau Phi Sorority. She taught in Baltimore, Md. for seven years and Roanoke City School System for 21 years. Mrs. Riner was a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church, a member of the Thursday Morning Music Club, and the Roanoke Woman's Club. She is survived by a sister, Agnes H. Leach of Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 17, 1996 at Oakey's South Chapel withthe Revs. Robert and Dusty Fiedler officiating. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park.
