AYDLETT, Elizabeth Lamb, 71, of Blacksburg, died Friday, September 27, 1996 at her home. She was born December 22, 1924 in Marion, Va. to the late Clarkson Grant and Mary Kathryn Prater Lamb. She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Aydlett, Montpelier, Va.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Mary Glenn Aydlett, Roanoke, James C. and Neta Aydlett, Winston-Salem, N.C.; four grandchildren, Martha Catherine Aydlett and Ann Elizabeth Aydlett, both of Roanoke, Lisa Ann Aydlett and Amy Lynn Aydlett, both of York, PA.; one sister, Jane Havnaer, Roanoke. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 30, 1996 at 11 a.m. at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, Blacksburg, with the Rev. Gary Schroeder officiating. BEASLEY, Sylvia Allen, 92, of Hillsville, died Friday, September 27, 1996, in a Pulaski hospital. Born on December 8, 1903, she was a daughter of the late Moses Allen and Nancy White Allen. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Darcy Andrew Beasley, and a son , Darcy Odell Beasley. Mrs. Beasley is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Thelma and Kenneth Pippin of Glen Burnie, Md., Joleen and Joe Kyle of Wilmington, Del., and Carol and Robert Martin of Dublin; a son and daughter-in-law, Boyd and Gail Beasley of Waynesboro; a daughter-in-law, Alva Beasley of Hillsville; three sisters, Lula Beasley of Fort Pierce, Fla., Eva Allen of Hillsville and Virgie Acord of Austinville; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, September 30, 1996, at Round Knob Church of God, with Mr. Curtis Graves and Mr. A. Lowell Altizer officiating. BENNETT, Marvin Green, 61, of Bedford, passed away Thursday, September 26, 1996 at his residence. He was born March 7, 1935 in Campbell County, a son of the late Wealthy G. Bennett and Maude Pribble Bennett. He was preceded in death by a brother, Alexander C. Bennett. He was an employee of Ingersoll Rand, was a veteran of the Air Force and a member of the Nicopolis United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Witt Bennett; a son and daughter-in-law, Troy D. and Deborah Bennett, Bedford; a daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly B. and Roger Overstreet, Bedford; two brothers, Lloyd H. Bennett, Bedford, Lynwood C. Bennett, Evington; a sister, Edna B. Saunders, Evington; three grandchildren, Shawn and Amber Bennett and Logan Overstreet. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, September 29, 1996 at 2 p.m. from the Nicopolis United Methodist Church by the Rev. Dr. Patrick Simon. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. BOONE, Lecta P., 93, of Rocky Mount, died Friday, September 27, 1996 in a local hospital. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Otey Anderson and George R. Boone; three so ns, C. O. Anderson, Nelson Anderson and Glenwood Anderson; four brothers. Surviving are one daughter, Bea A. McCall, Rocky Mount; two grandsons, Charles A. Anderson, Orange, David Anderson, Houston, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Harold (``Elva'') Harrison, Rocky Mount; two brothers, Price Pugh and George (``Bud'') Pugh, both of Rocky Mount; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday in Flora Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. William K. Dawson officiating. Interment will follow in High Street Cemetery. BOWYER, Clara Feagan, 81, of Shady Knoll Avenue, Bedford, died unexpectedly on Friday, September 27, 1996, at her home. She was born in the Waugh community o f Bedford County on November 26, 1914, a daughter of the late John Fleming Feagan and Annie Carter Feagan. She was a member of Bedford Christian Church and a beautician in Bedford for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Moorman Granville Bowyer Sr., and her daughter, Betty Jane Bowyer. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jill B. and D. Daniel Heller of Bedford; her son, Moorman Granville Bowyer of Richmond; a special friend, Janis Pritchard of Richmond, and her sister, Jean F. Wells of Forest. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, September 30, 1996, at Bedford Christian Church, with the Rev. Dr. John P. Dunstan officiating. CALDWELL, Albert Noble, (``Abb""), 67, of Rocky Gap, died Saturday, September 28, 1996. He was the son of the late Earnest and Amy Hager Caldwell. He was retired from Tabor Machine Shop in Bluewell, W. Va. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, James and Louise Caldwell of Pearisburg. Also surviving are a host of cousins. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 30, 1996 at 2 p.m. in the Newberry Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Kevin Wilson officiating. Delancey, Guy Lorenza, 75, of the Oak Level Section of Franklin County, died Friday, September 27, 1996 at his home. Born April 25, 1921, a son of the late Reece F. and Anna Williams Delancey, Mr. Delancey was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U. S. Army. Surviving are his wife, Maizie K. Delancey, of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Guy Lee and Lesia Delancey of Oak Level; two brothers and on e sister-in-law, Willie Woodrow Delancey, Martinsville, General Jackson and Thelma Delancey, Rocky Mount. Also surviving are one granddaughter, Amy Delancey; and two nephews and two nieces. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, September 30, 1996 from the Lynch Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Garry Hazelwood officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. HALE, George Henry, (``Precious""), 86, of Roanoke, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 1996, in a local hospital. He was born on January 10, 1910, the son of the late Felix and Esther Woods Hale. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Perdue Hale, and a son, George Henry Hale Jr. Surviving are his daughter, Lenora (Junius) Gaither; a son, Raleigh L. Hale; grandchildren, Gary (Ruth) Gaither, Michelle L. Gaither, D'Anthony Q. Hale and Dvon Hale; great-grandchildren, D'naja Banks and Twana (Russell) Dudley, all of Roanoke, Nicole Rose and Roderick Rose of Houston, Texas; great-great-grandchildren, Ballander Mallory and Jamal Dudley of Roanoke and Derris Sterling of Houston; a sister, Anna (Robert) Robison of Roanoke; brothers, Richard (Spprow) Hale of Cleveland, Ohio, and Gilbert (Alease) Hale of Roanoke; sisters-in-law, Pearl Thompson and Lillie Williams; brothers-in-law, James Perdue and Robert Robinson of Roanoke, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. HANCOCK, Kenneth John, (``Ken""), 34, of Roanoke, died Saturday, September 28, 1996. He was employed with Able Security at Vitracom Corporation and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Surviving are his mother, Nancy Porterfield Hancock, Roanoke; his maternal grandmother, Grace Louise Porterfield, Roanoke; and a number of other devoted family members and friends. Funeral services will be at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 1, 1996, with the Rev. Jerry Cloninger and the Rev. Al Echols officiating, with interment in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. HESLEP, Nellie Virginia Coffey, 94, of Buena Vi sta, died Friday, September 27, 1996, in Community Hospital of Roanoke Valley. Born on March 22, 1902, in Rockbridge County, she was a daughter of the late R. Wetzel and Mollie Ward Coffey. She was a member of Neriah Baptist Church and attended Buena Vista Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold McCormick Heslep, and a daughter, Josephine Heslep Lynn. Surviving are two daughters, Betty Heslep Watts of Glasgow and Marjorie Heslep Dyer of Buena Vista; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, and two sisters, Catherine Powers of Churchville and Frances Downey of Augusta Springs. The funeral service will be conducted Monday, September 30, 1996, at 11 a.m., at the Lomax Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. William M. Thomas and the Rev. John E. Sylvester-Johnson officiating. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edgar Hurley; a daughter, Nancy Hurley; a brother, Billy McLemore; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Louise Hurley, and her parents, Eurate and Edith McLemore. RUSSELL, Inez Wyatt, 80, of Roanoke, died Friday, September 27, 1996 in a Collinsville convalescent home. She was the widow of James M. Russell, and predeceased by two brothers, Wesley E. Wyatt and the Rev. Uriel H. Wyatt. Mrs. Russell was a member of Air Lee Court Baptist Church and was retired as a cafeteria supervisor from Community Hospital of Roanoke Valley. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Christi ne W. Wilson, Mrs. Gertrude W. Wilson, both of Axton; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, September 30, 1996 from Oakey's North Chapel. The Rev. John J. Hamric and Michael Presley will officiate. Interment will be in Evergreen Burial Park. WAGNER, Nellie Nichols, 93, of Roanoke, died Friday, September 27, 1996. Mrs. Wagner was the widow of Archie F. Wagner, and is survived by her daughters and son-in- law, Myrtle and George Mays, and Ellen Timmerman, all of Roanoke; her grandchildren and spouses, Sherlyn and Robert Smith, and Mary and James Sparks, all of Roanoke; four great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Livie Davis of Bassett; two brothers, Jim Nichols of Sandy Level, N.C., and Artis Nichols of Rocky Mount; special friends and caretakers, Jewel Mitchell and Dixie Arnold. Also, special thanks to Dr. Bruce Stewart and his staff at Lewis-Gale, as well as Housecall Health Care at Valley View, and especially Amelia Stevens, for all of their concern and help. WALTERS, Morris O., 75, of Pass Christian, Miss., died Saturday, September 27, 1996 in Gulfport. Mr. Walters was a native of Roanoke, Va. and had resided on the coast for most of his life. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II and he was a retired mechanical engineer. Survivors include a sister, Edna Mae Walters; and three brothers, Ray Walters, Edward Walters and Luther Walters. There will be a graveside service Monday at 3 p.m. in the Biloxi National Cemetery in Biloxi. WIKSTROM, Donald Eugene, 71, of Vinton, died Friday, September 27, 1996 at his home. He was a Navy veteran of WWII and was preceded in death by his parents and his twin brother, Dick. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Donna Wikstrom, Christiansburg, Jim and Jan Wikstrom, Lexington, KY.; two daughters and s ons-in-law, Diana and Larry Landes, Richmond, Donna and David Harvey, Christiansburg; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother; two sisters and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Westview Cemetery in Blacksburg, conducted by the Rev. Richard H. Horne. There will be no visitation.
