John Baker hit his second field goal of the game, a 17-yarder with five seconds remaining, as Pocahontas defeated Narrows 27-24 on Friday night in a Mountain Empire District game in Narrows.
Pocahontas (6-2 overall, 3-1 district) got the ball back after a failed fourth-down attempt by the Green Wave (2-6, 0-3) from the Indians' 30-yard line. Pocahontas drove down the field in the next two minutes for the winning field goal.
David Turner led Narrows with 145 yards rushing and three touchdowns.
