SOME SCARY ADVICE

* Wet the rubber intestines until they glisten. They look more realistic.

* The darker the rooms, the better.

* Be aware of state fire codes. Use power strips to keep from over-crowding an outlet.

* Masks are easier than makeup if your volunteers change night by night.

* "A lot of people are really scared of clowns."

* Fake blood doesn't come out of your clothes so easily.

* "Wide open spaces are not that scary. You need tight squeezes."

* Spiderwebs are tedious, but essential.
