Landscape program to be offered
The Roanoke City Extension Office will offer a program on "Establishing an Annual Landscape Management Calendar" Nov. 20, from 7 to 8 p.m. The program will be held on the first floor of The Jefferson Center on Luck Avenue.
Registration is required. Call the Roanoke City Extension Office at 857-7915 by Nov. 19.
Spring registration begins Monday
Registration for the spring semester at Virginia Western Community College will be held Tuesday through Dec. 20 and Jan. 2 -14 in the school's admissions office in Fishburn Hall. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on Fridays. Tuition is $47.65 per credit for Virginia residents and $157 per credit for out-of-state students. Grandin Road parade seeks participants
The 1996 Grandin Road Children's Mini Christmas Parade will be held Nov. 23. Participants will assemble at Christ Lutheran Church on the corner of Brandon Avenue and Grandin Road between 10:15 and 10:30 a.m. The parade will begin at 11 a.m. rain or shine.
Spectators and participants may donate nonperishable food items which will be collected from curb sides and given to the RAM House.
