BORSUM, Otto Harry, 75, of 1039-B Oakmont Circle, Lynchburg, died Wednesday, November 6, 1996, at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Doris Townsend Borsum. Mr. Borsum was born July 23, 1921 in Brooklyn, N.Y. to the late Henry Theodore Borsum and the late Louise Henrietta Gerken Borsum. He was a member of Rivermont Avenue Baptist Church, the National Railroad Historical Society-Roanoke Chapter, and was employed with Big Star Stores in the produce department. Mr. Borsum was a veteran of World War II serving in the U. S. Army Air Force. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Patricia B. Agnew of Blue Ridge, and Donna B. Garwood of Greenwood; three grandchildren, William Agnew, Daniel Agnew, Jeanette Agnew; and his sister, Anita Borsum of Lynbrook, N.Y. A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, November 11, at Woodall-Tharp Chapel with the Rev. James Baucom of Rivermont Avenue Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Burial Park, Roanoke, at 2:30 p.m. by the pastor of Parkway Wesleyan Church in Roanoke. BREWSTER, Frances Eloise, 61, of Roanoke, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 7, 1996. Mrs. Brewster was a long time member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church and was a devoted and loving mother who will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Surviving are her sons and daughter-in-law, Terry and Brenda Brewster, Mitchell Raymond Brewster, all of Roanoke; her daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Lewis Shell, Katina and Kenneth StClair, all of Roanoke, Sharon Bailey, Sophia, W.Va., Cathy Bailey, Chico, Calif.; ten grandchildren; her sisters, Arbutus Brewster, Bessie Baker, both of War, W.Va. CARROLL, Edith Roberts Payne, 78, of Lynchburg, formerly of Salem, died Friday, November 8, 1996, at Oakwood Manor, Bedford Hospital. She was the wife of the late Wallace Carroll. Mrs. Carroll was born May 13, 1918 in Salem to the la te Curnal Leonard Roberts and the late Maggie Lue Daugherty Roberts. She was a retired seamstress and a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Lorraine (Rena) Dorr of Concord; her son, Eugene Arthur Payne of Goode; three grandchildren, Cynthia L. Dorr of Concord, Penny H. Stemmer of Rustburg, and Artie Payne of Forest; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Smith of Salem, Una Humbird of Florida; and a brother, Sherman Roberts of Roanoke. A graveside service will be conducted at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem, Monday, November 11, 1996, at 3 p.m., with Pastor Charlie Harbin officiating. COLEMAN, Wilda June, 81, of Fries died Thursday, November 7, 1996 in Roanoke Community Hospital. Mrs. Coleman was born in Grayson County on September 20, 1915 to Kent Jones and Mollie Whitaker Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Coleman. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Lola Coleman, Rodney and Sandy Coleman, all of Fries; two brothers and sister-in-law, Dean Jones, Christiansburg, Willie Bruce and Myrtle Jones, Fries; three sisters-in-law, Margaret Jones, Eva Roberts, both of Fries, and Ethel Coleman, Concord, N.C.; three grandchildren, Tammy Lambert, Butch Coleman, Margo Taylor; one great-grandson, Jessup Lambert; and several nieces and nephews; special friends, Phyllis Barker and Laura LaRue, both of Fries. COOK, Ella Mae Brown, 50, of Virginia Mobile Home Court, Dublin, passed away Friday, November 8, 1996, in the Carilion Radford Community Hospital. Born May 16, 1946 in Jewell Ridge (Tazewell County), she was the daughter of Ellen Goss Brown and the late George Brown. She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Brown. ENGLAR, Renea Jonas, 32, of Baltimore, Md., formerly of Wytheville, died Thursday, October 31, 1996, at Gilchrist Hospice Center. FARRELL, Susan Pascoe, 71, formerly of Blacksburg, of 1237 Viewmont Drive, Schenectady, N.Y., died after a brief illness on November 7, 1996. She was a native of Blacksburg who grew up in Luther Memorial Lutheran Church; and after graduation in home economics from Virginia Tech in 1949, she and her husband, Paul Farrell, Jr., also a VPI graduate, who survives, began an interesting and useful life that took them to Massachusetts, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New York, Kentucky, and Ohio over the past forty-seven years, most recently in Schenectady from 1989 until the present. Susan was an active member of Eastern Parkway United Methodist Church in Schenectady; Chapter 7 of the P.E.O. sisterhood; Beukendaal Chapter No. 528 Order of the Eastern Star; the Auxiliary of the Schenectady Symphony Orchestra and an Auxiliary member and volunteer at the Schenectady County Historical Society. She was a long term member of the Orchard Hill Garden Club and had been active earlier in the American Association of University Women. Besides her husband, Paul, she is survived by a daughter, Evelyn F. Cronyn of Deerfield, N. H.; a son, Robert Thomas Farrell of Danville, Va.; a sister, Sarah P. Ingle of Charlotte, N. C.; a brother, Charles T. Pascoe, Jr., Merrifield, Va.; two grandchildren, Sarah Kathleen Cronyn, Boston, Mass. and Senior Airman Kenneth W. Cronyn IV, USAF, Dover, Del.; numerous nieces and nephews. A brief graveside service will be conducted by Pastor Gary Schroeder of Luther Memorial at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, November 11, 1996 at Westview Cem etery, Blacksburg. Mr. Sayers was a member of Falling Water Baptist Church, a veteran of World War II and a retired owner and operator of Sayers Sand Company. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Clay Sayers. He is survived by one son, William C. Sayers o f Marion; three sisters, Louise Sayers, Sybil S. Slemp and Jean S. SIEGEL, Carole Ann, 55, of Lexington, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 5, 1996, in Toms River, N.J. She was born in Hoboken, N.J., the daughter of the late Louis and Irene Inconstanti, on December 25, 1940. She is survived by her husband, Alan Siegel Sr. of Lexington; one son, Alan Siegel Jr. of Toms River, N.J.; three daughters, Gayle M. Carta of Toms River, N.J., April A. Neibergal of Toms River, N.J., and Jennifer L. Siegel of the home. She leaves eight grandchildren; and also her sisters and brother, Lorraine Burdick of New Milford, N.J., Sara Lyn Jones of Wilmington, N.C., and John Inconstanti of Midlothian; plus nieces and nephews.
