JOHN M. NUNN has joined Roanoke-based Thomas Rutherfoord Inc. as claims manager.
Nunn, who holds the senior claims law associate professional designation, worked for the U.S. Marshal's Service, the Hartford Insurance Co. and Alexander & Alexander Inc. before coming to Rutherfoord.

PAUL A. DRISCOLL has joined the law firm of Brumberg, Mackey & Wall, where he will divide his time between the firm's Roanoke and Radford offices. Driscoll formerly was associated with Magee, Foster, Goldstein & Sayers in Roanoke.
MEDIA
CATHY GREENBERG, marketing director at The Roanoke Times, has been named the newspaper's advertising director. She will succeed JUDY PERFATER, who retires Dec.1. HELEN BURNETT will assume the position of marketing director in addition to her post as circulation director. In other management changes, BILL BURKS and LIBBA WOLFE will join BETSY RUSSO as retail advertising sales managers.
In the newspaper's circulation department, KAREN SKEENS as marketing manager will have responsibility for telemarketing, customer service, single copy sales and promotion; CHUCK HATFIELD will become metro circulation manager and KEITH WHITE will move from the advertising department to become state circulation manager. DON PORTERFIELD will become a new ventures specialist.
MEDIATION
JOE BEATY of Agreements Unlimited in Marion has been elected to the board of directors for the Virginia Mediation Network, a statewide organization comprising more than 500 mediators. Beaty is a practitioner member of the Academy of Family Mediators and a member of the Mediation Association of Tennessee.
