BOURAS, Vasiliki, 92, of Lexington, Ky. and formerly of Pulaski, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 1996, at her residence. She was born November 21, 1903. A native of Domianous Evrytania, Greece, she was a daughter of the late Nicolas and Martha Kokotinis. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Harry Bouras; a son, Harry Bouras, a grandson, George Harry Bouras, two sisters, Chrisoula Skenderis and Demtroula Rantzos. Survivors include a daughter, Frances G. Stefanis, Lexington, Ky.; a daughter-in-law, Niki Bouras, Pulaski; a grandson, Dr. George S. Stefanis, Jr., Macon, Ga.; two granddaughters, Maria Maroulis and her husband, Ted, Norfolk, and Vicky Boudouris and her husband, James, Atlanta, Ga. Trisagion services will be 7 p.m. at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski, on Sunday, November 24, 1996. DODD, Emma Hammond, 90, of Roanoke, died Friday, November 22, 1996. She had been a member of Riverdale Baptist Church since 1928. She was the last surviving child of Byrd and Zul a Hammond. Born in Roanoke County and raised in Lithia, she spent most of her life in the Riverdale section of Roanoke. Mrs. Dodd was preceded in death by two sons, Norman L. Dodd and Elmer H. Dodd. She was the widow of Herman L. Dodd; and is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Alice and David Barbour, Smith Mountain Lake; two sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Connie Dodd, Vinton, Ronald Gene and Brenda Dodd, Salem; two daughters-in-law, Louella Dodd, Salem, Lillie Dodd, Vinton. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at Lotz Roanoke Chapel 10 a.m. Monday, November 25, 1996, with Rev. Robert W. DUNBAR, James Edward, 84, of Troutville, died Saturday, November 23, 1996. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ottie King Dunbar; and one son, Roger Eugene Dunbar. He is survived by one son, William E. Dunbar of Daleville; two daughters, Lucille Sloan and Margie Huffman, both of Troutville; sixteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. HOWELL, George Watts, Jr., 83, was buried Saturday, November 23, 1996 in Evergreen Burial Park. The Rev. Harry Y. Gamble officiated at the graveside service. Mr. Howell was born November 12,1913. He was a life long resident of Roanoke and member of Calvary Baptist Church. KING, Elsie Slaydon, 79, of Vinton, passed away Friday, November 22, 1996, at her home. Mrs. King was a longtime member and Sunday School teacher at Central Baptist Church and was a past president of the Women's Missionary Union. She was a retired cafeteria manager from Cave Spring High School, and was preceded in death by her husband, John Harold King Sr. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, John H. Jr. and Sarah C. King, Roanoke County; her daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara King and C. Richard Smith, Powhatan, Janet King and William (Bill) Trent, Salem, Nancy King and Harold L. Hurt, Vinton; her grandchildren, John King III, Shelly Johnson, Richard W. Smith, Chad Trent, Jay Richards and Julie R. Atkins; five great-grandchildren; her sister, Margaret S. Shockey, Copper Hill. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Alfred C. and Brenda Lynch, Ronald G. and Joyce Lynch; daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Patrick McIntosh, Beverly and Leroy Johnson; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of stepchildren, nieces and nephews. LYTTON, Minnie Arbutus Adkins, 82, of Christiansburg, died Friday, November 22, 1996, at her home. She was the widow of Wallace William Lytton. Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Ray J. and Beverly Lytton, Maryville, Tenn., Bobby L. and Mary Jo Lytton, Sherman, Texas, Leroy and Lola Lytton of Dublin; a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Melvin Mabry, Radford; a sister, Alene Patton, Lancaster, Pa.; two brothers, Alfred Adkins, Christiansburg, and Tom Adkins, Lancaster, Pa.; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren also survive. MALONE, Juanita S., 75, of Roanoke, went to be with Jesus on Friday, November 22, 1996. She passed away at home surrounded by the love of her family. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, where she taught the preschool children's Sunday School classes for more than 40 years and also was a member of the Roanoke Woman's Club. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Thomas J. Malone Jr. She is survived by her children, Martha M. Woody (Douglas B.), M. Cheryl Malone, Thomas J. Malone III (Kathy), T. Michael Malone (Michelle), and Patrick B. Malone (Nancy). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kim, Melissa, and Cheryl Lyn, all of Atlanta, Ga., Mary Katherine, J. T., Jason, Erin, Amanda, and Kelly, all of Roanoke; four great-grandchildren, Evan, Chelsea, Matthew, all of Atlanta, Ga., Ryan of Roanoke; a devoted sister-in-law, Katherine M. Austin. MILLER, Elizabeth Inez, 84, of Newport, died Saturday, November 23, 1996, in Montgomery Regional Hospital. Mrs. Miller was a native of Oak Level. After her college education at Radford College, she moved to Newport, where she resided the remainder of her life. Mrs. Miller was a member of the Newport-Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She taught school in the Newport Elementary School for 20 years. Mrs. Miller was a charter member of the United Methodist Women's Club and the Spruce Home Demonstration Club. She is survived by her husband, James David Miller Jr. of Newport; her daughter, Mrs. Elsie King Miller Lawrence; her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Carolyn H. Miller; her three grandchildren, Ms. Mary Elizabeth Miller, Mrs. Laura M. Hubinger, Thomas B. Lawrence III; one great-granddaughter, Amber Elizabeth Miller, all of Richmond. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Elsie Metz Young of Oak Level; and two brothers, John W. Metz of Oak Level and George W. Metz of Syndorsville. MOORMAN, William Melvin Sr., (``Pete""), 72, of Roanoke, passed away Friday, November 22, 1996, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Salem. He was born in Roanoke to the late Artie Moorman Sr. and Fairdell Moorman. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mrs. Christine E. ROBERTSON, Marie Davenport, 86, of Salem, died Friday, November 22, 1996, at her home. She was the widow of Johnie C. Robertson and was a native of Floyd and a resident of Salem for many years. She was a charter member of West Salem Baptist Church, and was associated with Lotz Funeral Home in Salem for many years. Mrs. Robertson is survived by two sons, Bill Davenport of Charleston, S.C., Charles and wife, Sandra Davenport, Mobile, Ala.; two sisters, Mrs. Agatha Agee, and Mrs. Ava (Bill) Smith, all of Bassett. She is also survived by six grandsons, Thomas Davenport, David Davenport, both of Charleston, S.C., Edward Davenport of Atlanta, Ga., Gregg Davenport, Destin, Fla., Christopher Davenport, Houston, Texas, Patrick Davenport, Mobile, Ala.; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. TILLOTSON, Pauline S., of Roanoke, passed away Friday, November 22, 1996. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garrett H. Tillotson, who died January 23, 1980. She is survived by her brothers, Odell Spencer and Roosevelt Spencer; sisters, Ann Flynn, Juanita Spencer, Stella Blaylock, Mary Gipple, and Virginia Blythe, all of the Carolin as. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was an active member of Hollins Road Baptist Church, serving as a librarian for ten years and secretary for 35 years.
