HOLIDAY WINE TASTING

The Roanoke Valley Wine Society's annual Holiday Tasting Party is set for Dec. 5. The gala gathering will feature a variety of sparkling wines and festive red wines, including Scharffenberger Blanc de Blanc, Jacques Selosse Grand Cru champagne, Mountain Dome "Gnome Label" Brut, Piper Sonoma Blanc de Noir, Trumpeter Merlot and Dom de la Janasse Chateaneuf-du-Pape Chaupin Vineyard plus an expanded hors d'oeuvres selection.

The fee is $15 per person for the festivities, 7-9 p.m. at Hidden Valley Country Club, Salem. Membership is not necessary, but reservations are required. Call 389-8146.
