Radford and Pulaski County fans heading into Blacksburg today for the Virginia Tech-University of Virginia game should beware of one possible traffic snafu if they follow the suggested back route to the Tech campus along Prices Fork Road.
Once entering Blacksburg, if they turn south on the U.S. 460 Bypass, they will find themselves funneled past the main Virginia Tech exit at Southgate Drive and unable to turn around and head back toward the campus until they reach the Blacksburg exit off U.S. 460 at South Main Street.
To avoid this, fans heading toward the campus on Prices Fork Road can turn onto Plantation Road, immediately before the bypass entrance, and follow the parking signs along that road. Plantation Road will lead them to the large I Lot off Duck Pond Drive, which has parking for the general public.
Another option is to continue along Prices Fork Road, past the university's golf course, and take a right onto West Campus Drive. From this road drivers can either pull into the large commuter parking lot or continue toward Lane Stadium if they have parking passes for the several reserved lots closer to the stadium.
Tech will operate shuttle buses from the general parking lots beginning two hours before the game and continuing until everyone has left the stadium after the game.
