FORMER PULASKI TOWN COUNCIL MEMBERS DIES

Woodson Stillman Cummings, 89, who was a Pulaski Town Council member from 1956 to 1968, died Thursday at Highland Manor Nursing Home.

Cummings had also been chairman of the Selective Service Board for 25 years, including the years of World War II. He had been active in the Pulaski Lions Club, New River Valley Shrine Club and Elks Lodge, among other groups.

Survivors include his wife, Colleen Seagle Cummings. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. tonight at the Thomas M. Seagle & Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery.
