Lively hopes he was prescient in starting his business. He knows installing home theater and digital satellite systems can be a daunting task to some people. As he puts it, "A lot of people don't take the time or don't have the time to do it. And there's a large portion who don't have any idea." What's more, Lively believes the digital satellite system market has a bright future. He thinks satellite systems will eventually solve the biggest complaint users have about them - that they don't offer local broadcasts. "People, as time goes by, are going to realize how much better the DSS systems are."
Fees: $99 and up for home theater systems; $199 for satellite systems, including cables and instruction.
About the owner: Lively, 28, is a native of Christiansburg who has always wanted to own his own business. After earning a bachelor's degree in small business management from Radford University, he worked in local electronics stores selling and installing equipment. He began his one-man business in July.
