The Southwestern Virginia Second Harvest Food Bank will sponsor the third annual Poets & Artists Against Hunger contest for high school and college undergraduate and graduate students.
The categories for the contest are poetry and art, and all entries should reflect awareness and sensitivity to those experiencing the problem of hunger. The deadline for entries is Feb. 24.
A $500 scholarship for each of the first-place winners of the undergraduate level will be awarded. A reception to honor the winners will be held on March 27 at the Fishburn Mansion.
