A second male cadet has left The Citadel after allegations two women were hazed and harassed at the military college last semester, a school official said Tuesday.
Citadel spokesman Terry Leedom said the cadet, who was in the women's chain of command, did not return after the holiday break.
The student has not resigned, meaning he could return later, Leedom said. But the cadet would have to apply for readmission and would face disciplinary action.
Leedom would not identify the cadet, citing student privacy laws.
One cadet suspended after the hazing allegations resigned last month, meaning he may not again enroll.
Nine other cadets, one of them on suspension and no longer on campus, still face disciplinary action stemming from the allegations by Jeanie Mentavlos of Charlotte, N.C., and Kim Messer of Clover.
