If you've ever wondered why the world needs bugs, or if you're likely to experience an earthquake in Southwest Virginia, or how some things work or why they don't, there might be a place you can find the answers to these questions and more - in one place.
The Science Museum of Virginia on Saturday will hold a "Science Spectacular," a daylong celebration of science and discovery featuring scientists and researchers, both student and professional.
From students at the Roanoke Valley Governor's School who have designed an innovative braking system for wheelchairs to chemistry demonstrations from visitors from Virginia Tech, you can meet with scientists and participate in a variety of scientific areas, including entomology (bugs), veterinary medicine and computer science.
For information cost of the program and how to sign up, call 342-5710.
