FLOYD COUNTY WINS EASILY

Jason Dalton scored 27 points to lead Floyd County to an 80-49 victory over Carroll County in a non-district boys' basketball victory Wednesday night in Hillsville.

Floyd County (20-1) bounced back from its only loss of the season by taking control in the second half.

Earl Johnson paced Carroll County (5-14) with 16 points.

Girls

Franklin County 65, Patrick Henry 53: Kelli Preston scored 23 points as the Eagles (6-10, 2-5) downed the host Patriots for a Roanoke Valley District victory.

Keeda Hale scored 14 points for Patrick Henry (3-15, 0-8).
