RADFORD CAN'T FIND RANGE IN 77-67 LOSS TO UNCG

Radford was ranked third in NCAA Division I in 3-point field-goal percentage at the start of the week, but the Highlanders didn't show it Thursday night in Greensboro, N.C.

Radford hit eight of 25 shots from beyond the arc as its three-game winning streak was snapped by North Carolina-Greensboro, 77-67. The Highlanders were hitting on 40.1 percent of their 3-point shots entering the Big South Conference contest.

Rian Everett scored a career-high 11 points off the bench, including a last-gasp 3-pointer with 2:22 remaining that pulled the Highlanders (12-11 overall, 6-5 conference) to 70-67. They were outscored 7-0 the rest of the way.

The Spartans (10-16, 6-5) broke a three-game losing streak to move into a tie with Radford for fourth place in the Big South standings.

Tony Daughtry scored 15 of his 20 points in the first half as UNC Greensboro built a 14-point halftime advantage.
