``Customer service'' took on a new meaning for a Chesterfield County man who tried to call a department store for some help with an order.
Instead of a phone representative from Hecht's, the man got a sultry-voiced woman promoting a telephone sex line.
``Hi, sexy. Thanks for calling the Pleasure Club Hot Line. You can connect to hot, horny, willing girls right now,'' the recorded message said.
The man said that he was trying to reach Hecht's service department Friday to cancel an order for a bed he placed two weeks ago at its Chesterfield Towne Center store.
``It's ironic that I am canceling an order for a bed on Valentine's Day and get this line,'' the man, who asked that his name not be used, told the Richmond Times-Dispatch.
``I figured if [Hecht's] can't satisfy you in one way, then they were willing to satisfy you in another way,'' he said.
Hecht's wasn't amused. Spokeswoman Nancy Chistolini said an outdated form listing a former toll-free number was to blame.
The store sent a memo to managers Friday reminding them to discard the old forms.
