THE SCHOOL OF PRACTICAL NURSING AT CARILION ROANOKE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL recently announced the names of 11 Roanoke-area graduates: Mike Alley, Tina Davis, Melissa Fowler, Sharon Mackey, Tami Mowles and Jo Perry, all of Roanoke; Melissa Harless and Sharon Sims, both of Salem; Kathy Hedman of Troutville; Denise Plunkett of Fincastle, and Leigh Carr of Eagle Rock.
CARLA PERKINS and LARRY STEVENS II, both of Roanoke, recently were named to the fall semester dean's list at East Tennessee State University.
JEFFREY DAVID McCRAY, son of David and Diana McCray of Roanoke, has been named to the dean's list for the fall semester at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro.
McCray, a 1995 graduate of Patrick Henry High School, is majoring in broadcasting/cinema and theater.
DANA BAUMAN of Roanoke County has been inducted into the Virginia Tech Chapter of Phi Kappa Phi, a national honor society. Selection to the society is based on good character and academic achievement.
Bauman is a senior majoring in vocational technical education.
CHARLES LLOYD KARR of Roanoke recently received a bachelor of science degree in communications from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Ind.
