STALEY FTS GIVE RAGE PLAYOFF WIN

Dawn Staley hit two free throws with 17.9 seconds remaining and had a steal at the buzzer as the Richmond Rage came from behind to defeat the Colorado Xplosion 80-77 in an American Basketball League playoff opener in Richmond..

The Rage and the Xplosion will play the second game of their best-of-three league semifinal series Tuesday in Denver. A third game, if necessary, will be played Thursday in Denver.

Adrienne Goodson led Richmond with a season-high 25 points and added 12 rebounds. Staley, a former Virginia All-American, had 17 points and nine assists.
