Senior Identification Cards will be made at several locations during March. Anyone over 60 may obtain a card, which qualifies one for discounts and special services at participating businesses and agencies.
Seniors should bring proof of their age and Social Security number, such as a driver's license or birth certificate. A $1.50 donation is requested. The card is sponsored by the New River Valley Agency on Aging.
People restricted to their homes call 980-7720 or 639-9677 for arrangements.
The schedule is: March 5 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Radford Senior Center; March 7 from 10 a.m. to noon at Pine Ridge Apartments in Floyd; March 12 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Blacksburg Senior Center; March 16 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Giles Senior Center; March 19 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Christiansburg Senior Center; and March 21 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the New River Valley Agency on Aging in Pulaski.
