JUNE ZHU, of Roanoke, a junior majoring in electrical engineering, has been named to the dean's list at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y.
MCCOY DARBY III, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harwell McCoy of Roanoke, recently was inducted into the Order of Gownsmen at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tenn.
The order is an student association that honors academic excellence and leadership ability.
ELIZABETH CLARK, daughter of Ernest and Mary Clark of Roanoke, recently was named to the dean's honor list for the fall quarter at Cedarville College, Ohio.
Clark is a 1996 graduate of Roanoke Valley Christian Schools.
EMILY ANN PECOUL of Roanoke recently was named to the honor roll at Gardner-Webb University, Boiling Springs, N.C.
JEFFREY D. MCCRAY and KAREN E. SCHEAR, both of Roanoke, recently were named to the dean's list at the University of North Carolina in Greensboro.
KRISTIE LYNN SMITH of Roanoke recently was honored at an academic achievement banquet at Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge.
The banquet honored students with a cumulative grade point average of 3.8 and above who received a 4.0 for the fall semester.
