Virginia Tech's Atlantic 10 Conference basketball tournament opener against Fordham at noon today in Philadelphia will not be televised in the Roanoke-Lynchburg market.
The game matching the Tech-Fordham winner against Rhode Island at 2 p.m. Thursday will be shown on ESPN2. There will be no local telecast of the A-10 semifinals Friday. The A-10 championship game will be shown on ESPN at 6 p.m. Saturday.
Roanoke's WDBJ (Channel 7) will have the final seven ACC tournament games, Friday through Sunday at the Greensboro (N.C.) Coliseum from the ACC's Raycom/Jefferson-Pilot network, including Virginia's quarterfinal opener against North Carolina at 9:15 p.m. Friday. The Friday schedule begins at noon, with Clemson-Maryland.
The ACC play-in game Thursday (North Carolina State-Georgia Tech) will be televised at 7:10 p.m. by ESPN.
All eight games in the ACC tournament will be broadcast in the Roanoke Valley by WROV (1240 AM), via Virginia's radio network. Tech's games in the A-10 tournament will air on the Hokies' network stations, including WSLC (610 AM) in the Roanoke Valley.
