AUTHOR'S DAUGHTER TO SIGN BOOKS ON HILLSVILLE SHOOTOUT

The daughter of Rufus L. Gardner, the author of "The Courthouse Tragedy," one of several books written on the Carroll County Courthouse shooting of 1912, will be on hand at the Roanoke Valley Gun Show on Saturday and Sunday at the Roanoke Civic Center.

Luci Gardner Jennings, who edited the fifth edition of ``The Courthouse Tragedy,'' will sign copies of her father's book and will display various photographs, documents and other artifacts related to the shooting and some of the people involved, including Floyd and Claude Allen.
