Team-leading totals of 43 goals and 86 points earn Jeff Jablonski first-team All-ECHL honors.
Roanoke Express left wing Jeff Jablonski was named to the All-East Coast Hockey League first team on Thursday.
Jablonski, 29, is the first player in the Express' four-year history to earn first-team honors. The seven-year veteran from Toledo, Ohio, has scored a team record-tying 43 goals heading into tonight's game at South Carolina. He also has 43 assists for a team-leading 86 points.
Others on the All-ECHL first team are goaltender Marc Delorme of Louisiana, center Mike Ross of South Carolina, right wing Ed Courtenay of South Carolina and defensemen Chris Valicevic of Louisiana and Chris Phelps of Hampton Roads.

Defenseman Jason Smith retired from professional hockey, more than three weeks after suffering the latest in a series of head injuries. Smith, 22, had been out of action since being injured in a game at Charlotte on Feb.18, his third head trauma injury in less than a year. After consulting with a local neurologist, Smith opted for retirement.
