When Charles Manson told parole officials he was working on his Internet site, he wasn't kidding: The convicted killer, through his followers, is on the World Wide Web.
The 62-year-old Manson, an inmate at the maximum-security Corcoran State Prison, has no access to a computer, modem or other equipment necessary to craft an Internet page.
But follower Sandra Good and others do, and they've put together the ``Access Manson'' Web site, complete with photos of Manson, his favorite quotes, a description of his legal status and other items. The site also includes information about his music and links to other sites.
``Manson has a web site, but he has no computer and he has no ability to directly access the Internet,'' said Christine May, a spokeswoman for the state Corrections Department. ``But there are a number of individuals who are willing to provide that kind of access.''
A corrections spokesman said Good, 52, lives near the prison, about 160 miles north of Los Angeles in the southern San Joaquin Valley.
A member of the Manson Family, Good served a decade in prison for sending threatening letters to businessmen.
