Grand jury indicts 2 in I-95 rest-stop slaying
MANASSAS - Two men accused of being accomplices in the slaying of a man at a rest stop near Dale City on Interstate 95 have been indicted.
A Prince William County grand jury returned indictments Monday against Michael T. Baggett Jr., 20, and Khalif A. Rodriguez, 18, on charges of murder, robbery and two counts of using a firearm in a felony.
Prosecutors said Baggett, Rodriguez and alleged triggerman Andre V. Carter robbed and murdered Bobby Lee Durham, 51, of Dover, Pa., on Dec. 18.
Carter was indicted March 3 on charges of capital murder, robbery and two counts of using a firearm in a felony. His trial is set for July 21.

Oprah Winfrey plugs book by W&M writer
WILLIAMSBURG - A novel by a visiting assistant professor at the College of William and Mary will be featured on Oprah Winfrey's televised book club.
Winfrey announced on her talk show Tuesday that she had picked ``The Rapture of Canaan'' by Sheri A. Reynolds for discussion on a later broadcast.
As a visiting assistant professor of English, Reynolds teaches a variety of creative writing courses.
