Cockram's for sale

Cockram's General Store, the Floyd County mountain music landmark, was put up for sale this week. Owner Hubert Roberson has relied on the donations of jamboree-goers to pay the bills at the general store and adjoining Floyd Farm Service, but lately that hasn't been enough. The Friday night hoedowns will continue at least until the property is sold. For details, see today's Virginia section.

Jail changes
