IDA O. MUDD

{LEAD} Ida Opal ``Granny'' Mudd, 70, of the 1000 block of St. Julian Drive, died May 30, 1994, in a Portsmouth hospital.

Mrs. Mudd was a native of Rocky Mount, N.C. She was retired from Holiday Inn in Chesapeake.

{REST} Survivors include her husband, Aubrey L. Mudd; one daughter, Diane Warner of Virginia Beach; one son, Bill Morris of Del Rio, Texas; five sisters, Edith Watson of Tarboro, N.C., Rachel Noel of Fredericksburg, Va., Magnolia Coley, Hazel Ayers and Agnes Cartee, all of Rocky Mount, N.C.; two brothers, Ralph Lane of Coinjock, N.C., and J.E. Buck Lane, Columbus, Ga.; three grandchildren, Kim Dickens, Shea Warner and Tanya Temps; and two great-grandchildren, Zachary Dickens and Nicholas Temps.

A funeral and entombment will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Woodlawn Mausoleum by Pastor James H. Roark. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 7 to 8 pm. today.
