A senior, Livesay batted .694 in the regular season. She hit seven home runs and only struck out three times in 70 times at bat.
{REST} She drove in a district-leading 42 runs and scored 30. Twenty-five of her 41 hits were for extra bases.
Livesay played shortstop and pitched for the Presidents. She was chosen on the All-Portsmouth team, selected by Currents and coaches, as the utility player.
Wilson, a fourth-place finisher in the district, dominated the All-City squad with seven selections.
Also named from Wilson were pitcher Amy Long, catcher Ivy Redford, infielders Wendy Wells and Christina Chandler and outfielders Sherry Miller and Amanda Johnson.
Churchland placed three and Norcom and Alliance Christian each had one.
Infielders Shannon Bell and Stacey Hundley and outfielder Courtney Hundley were chosen from Churchland. Norcom had Ginny Franco, a catcher who was picked as the designated hitter, and Alliance placed pitcher Farrah Coles.
There were six repeaters on the team. In addition to Livesay, other holdover selections were Churchland's Bell and Wilson's Long, Redford, Wells and Miller. Bell was picked last year at Wilson. Livesay, Long, Redford, Wells and Miller played at Manor.
It was the third straight year Livesay was an All-Portsmouth selection.
Chandler was a second-team pick a year ago.
Long and Coles combined for 17 regular-season victories. A lefthander, Long is a junior. Coles, a righthander, also is a junior. She pitched Alliance to the Metro Conference regular-season and tournament titles, losing only once in the regular season.
Redford, a senior, was a steady .300 hitter and possesses an outstanding throwing arm. Her behind-the-plate work was exceptional.
The All-City infield is without a senior. Bell and Wells are juniors. Chandler is a sophomore. Stacey Hundley is only a freshman.
Bell, a shortstop, was the leader in virtually every hitting department for the Truckers. She batted .567 with six home runs, had 28 runs batted in and scored 30 runs. She was runner-up to Livesay as player of the year in the city.
Wells hit .435. A third baseman, she raised her average from .370 a year ago.
A first baseman, Chandler turned in excellent glove work and hit at a .333 clip.
Hundley, a third baseman, batted .373 and led the Truckers in stolen bases.
The outfield featured three solid .300 hitters in Courtney Hundley, Stacey's older sister, Miller and Johnson.
Miller is a junior, Hundley a sophomore and Johnson only a freshman.
Although a catcher, Franco earned the designated hitter spot because of her city-leading .700 batting average. The freshman was 14 of 20, missing two games.
The second team included 14 players - seven from Churchland, three from Alliance, three from Wilson and one from Norcom.
It has three seniors, seven juniors, two sophomores and two freshmen.
Churchland placed pitcher Jenny Walski, catcher Ashley Miller, infielders Summer Speidell and Sarah Lawrence, outfielders Ashley Seekford and Christie Phelps and utility player Stephanie Pinchbeck. Pinchbeck hit safely in every game while batting .371.
Alliance placed first baseman Kelly Sivertson, designated hitter Desi Maxwell and Kelley Miltier, who shared the catching spot with Miller.
