BOY, 12, CRITICALLY INJURED IN BIKE ACCIDENT

{LEAD} An 11-year-old bicyclist was struck by a car Sunday afternoon at Great Neck and First Colonial roads. The boy, Andrew J. Park, of the 1800 block of Tollworth Drive, received massive head injuries and multiple fractures, said police spokesman Mike Carey.

Park was listed in critical condition Sunday evening at Virginia Beach General Hospital.

{REST} Carey said the motorist, a 22-year-old Virginia Beach man, will not be charged. He was traveling southbound on Great Neck Road about 3 p.m. and entered the intersection on a green light. He struck Park when the youngster and another bike rider tried to cross the intersection as they rode along First Colonial.
