DOROTHY E. DETAR

{LEAD} Dorothy E. Detar, 79, of the 1600 block of Nanneys Creek Road, a homemaker, died June 6, 1994, in Virginia Beach.

Mrs. Detar was born in Greensburg, Pa. She was the widow of Oscar W. Detar. She was a member of the Senior Citizens of Pungo.

{REST} Survivors include two daughters, Janet Wentroble of Jeannette, Pa., and E.A. ``Betty'' Kabler of Pungo, Va.; two sons, James W. Detar Sr. of Virginia Beach and Harry L. Detar of Manor, Pa.; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

The body will be sent from Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, to Mason-Gelder Funeral Home Inc., Jeannette, Pa., for services and burial.
